Presenter Erik Halvorson, is Director of Communication at Lockton Companies, where he leads the Dallas based Communication Consulting Practice. As practice leader, he assists Lockton clients around the country in achieving strategic objectives through effective communication. Prior to joining Lockton, Erik led Hostess Brands’ internal and external communication through a major bankruptcy and liquidation sale. He previously served as a communication leader for the U.S. Coast Guard, where he deployed nationally in response to natural and environmental disasters. He served as Public Information Officer and government spokesman for the Gulf Oil Spill response. He is a graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and has a M.A. in communication at the University of Maryland.
