Come learn about recent state and federal changes including the Minnesota Wage Theft Protection Act and federal changes to overtime law!  

Speakers will provide a detailed overview of employer compliance requirements of the Minnesota Wage Theft Prevention Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and other recent changes to state and federal wage and hour law. Learn from use case scenarios and real world examples of implementation pitfalls and mistakes, and have the chance to ask the experts your questions.


About the Speakers:

Dave Skovholt is the Outreach Coordinator in the Labor Standards Unit of the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Dave’s outreach is focused on Minnesota’s Labor Standards laws. He travels throughout the state, meeting with business groups and community organizations.

Corey Walton has been with USDOL since 1997. Corey serves as the Community Outreach & Resource Planning Specialist Wage and Hour’s Minneapolis District Office. In that capacity, Corey spends most of time organizing and conducting DOL educational and training events throughout the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota.
