CANCELLED due to CDC Recommendations: Internships in Duluth: Building our Talent Pipeline

The purpose of this event is to facilitate more dialogue about expanding internships in Duluth in order to grow our future talent pipeline. There are 3 strong university campuses in the area, with students hungry to learn more about the Duluth community and get hands on learning from businesses small and large.

Moderator Mike Malone will talk about his internship story in Duluth (originally from the Twin Cities) and the relationships it built and doors it helped open for him to stay here after graduation.

A panel of speakers from local businesses who have internships and students who have done internships in Duluth will talk about the importance of their experience and answer audience questions. Representatives from the universities will highlight the importance of this experience and address how each university has the potential to partner with businesses that want to create a more formal internship program.

The objective is to start a discussion that will help grow internship opportunities in Duluth for our businesses, communities, and the students at our local universities who are looking for them!
