In today’s business world, a strong relationship between the Human Resources Department and Finance Department is critical and sometimes key to the organization’s success. Core values of the departments can be different, therefore difficult to have common ground. Yet with human capital key to any organization’s success, it is no longer just the cash that is king.

Understanding the return on investment of a human resources department and the overall asset of the organization’s people are key to the financial vitality and direction of the organization. The Human Resources professional can be viewed as an asset to the finance manager as opposed to being an adversary. With greater business acumen of the financial model of an organization, the human resources professional can become a key player in the overall financial picture of the organization.

In this presentation, NHRA professionals will:

·  Gain essential financial skills important to HR Professionals.

·  Learn how to interpret financial reports, demonstrate ROI to your organization, draft an accurate budget, and justify your ideas in dollars and cents.

In addition to certification credits, UMD Continuing Education is willing to provide a certificate of attendance for attendees listing the contact hours for the session.
