The workshop will help participants develop effective ways to address building access and compliance issues.

The workshop will include:

  • Civic Engagement: how to get involved in your community and communicate effectively with agencies and businesses.
  • Understanding Your Rights Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III and barrier removal law.
  • Understanding Minnesota Building Codes: including technical requirements and hands-on training with measuring tools.

Produced by: ADA Minnesota, the Minnesota Council on Disability (MCD) and the Minnesota Department of Human Rights. Local co-sponsors include the Duluth Commission on Disabilities, AccessNorth, Lake County DAC, and Lake Superior College Disability Services.
